Welcome to the Lenzora and Lucille Collier Scholarship Fund website. This fund was established by the children of Lenzora and Lucille Collier. You will find on this website the mission statement of the fund and the application form for the scholarship.
To qualify for the scholarship you must be a graduating high school senior in the public school system of Lee County, Arkansas, accepted by a four year accredited college or university, and demonstrate high academic achievement. A complete list of the qualifications are contained on the application form as well as instructions for applying for the scholarship. For 2024 the scholarship will be at least $1,000. It is not renewable.
The deadline for the 2024 Online Application process as well as for mailing the application is Wednesday, May 3, 2024. If you wish to submit an application for the scholarship you may submit your application online on this website or by mailing it to the address listed on the application.
Students who submitted their application by the deadline will begin to receive notification in May 2024.
The selection and notification processes are as follows:
The children of Lenzora and Lucille Collier will review all applications and make a selection of the recipient based upon their collective assessment of the applicant based upon four criterion:
- academic achievement,
- community service,
- financial need, and
- leadership potential
The recipient of the Lenzora and Lucille Collier Scholarship will be notified no later than May 15, 2024.
